Taylor Swift Gifts Her Iconic ‘22’ Hat to Young Fan She First Saw on Livestream 7 Years Ago
Taylor Swift finally met little Eloise, a moment seven years in the making.
During her November 2 concert at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Swift gifted her iconic fedora from the song “22” to 7-year-old Eloise, right in the middle of the performance. This heartfelt moment was a culmination of a virtual connection made in 2017, when Swift, now 34, joined Eloise’s mother Cindy’s Instagram Live. Cindy had been introducing her newborn to followers, only to be amazed when Swift joined in, leaving messages for the baby.
Swift playfully wrote, “ELOISE!” and added, “She’s a tiny baby, and I will totally meet her and A when they’re not 3 months old and just trying to GET SOME REST.”
Fast forward seven years, and that promise came true as Swift bestowed the cherished “22” hat to Eloise. In a video shared on social media, Swift sweetly commented, “I knew you since you were a baby,” while mimicking the motion of cradling an infant. The two shared a warm hug as the number wrapped up.
The show marked Eloise’s first-ever concert experience, which she attended with Cindy and a close friend, each pair donning glittering outfits. “I don’t know about you, but I’m … crying!!!” Cindy posted excitedly before the concert, followed by another post expressing how sharing the night with Eloise made her “wildest dreams come true.”
This concert is part of Swift’s three-night residency in Indianapolis, her last stop in the U.S. for the Eras Tour before she heads to Vancouver and Toronto in December. The evening also held a special touch for Swift, as her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce, flew in after practice to support her.
Swift and Kelce, 35, have been inseparable since they began dating in summer 2023. Swift often cheers for him at NFL games, and Kelce makes it a point to attend her shows. “Taylor’s shows are unbelievable,” Kelce shared in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in May. “If you haven’t been, you’ve got to try it.”
In true Swift fashion, she dropped subtle nods to Kelce’s presence. During her performance of So High School, Swift mimed an archery stance similar to Kelce’s game-day entrance. Later, she donned a Chiefs-inspired, red-and-white ensemble from her 1989 era. Swift’s acoustic set included a special mash-up of The Prophecy x This Love and Maroon x Cowboy Like Me, making the night even more memorable for fans and friends alike.
